Booking & cancellation terms

Production note: these draft terms are designed for the website workflow and should be reviewed against the final MyPaintHouse business details and consumer-law process before launch on mypainthouse.com.

Quotation

The online quotation is an indicative estimate based on the information supplied by the customer. MyPaintHouse may confirm or revise the scope before work begins where inspection identifies additional preparation, access, repair or specialist requirements.

Current booking availability

Online payments are currently unavailable. You may save your quotation and sign project documents without making a payment. Preferred dates and painter selections are requests and are not confirmed reservations. The team will confirm availability and next steps separately.

When online payments are enabled

The customer may choose either a 20% booking deposit or payment of the outstanding quotation in full. A requested date is not finally confirmed until the booking is accepted and payment is successfully received.

Cancellation and deposit treatment

The booking deposit is intended to reserve capacity and cover genuine booking-related losses. It is not treated as automatically non-refundable in every circumstance. If the customer cancels, any amount retained will be limited to what is fair, proportionate and permitted by applicable consumer law, taking account of direct losses and reasonable steps to reduce those losses. Any balance due back to the customer will be refunded through the original payment method where practicable.

If MyPaintHouse cancels and the customer is not at fault, amounts paid for services not supplied will normally be refunded.

Distance-contract cancellation rights

Where statutory cancellation rights apply to a service booked online, the customer may have a 14-day cancellation period. If the customer expressly asks for work to begin during that period, reasonable payment may be due for services actually supplied before cancellation. Statutory rights are not excluded by these terms.

Painter assignment

A customer may express a preference for an available painter. Where no painter is selected, or the requested painter becomes unavailable, MyPaintHouse may arrange another suitable professional. The customer account will show the painter assigned when the assignment is confirmed.

Payments

When enabled, online card and wallet payments will be processed by the configured payment provider. MyPaintHouse does not receive or store full payment-card details in this website application.

Order form

Before online payment, the customer signs a MyPaintHouse Order Form confirming the job address, preferred date, job description and other booking details. The quotation, signed work agreement and signed order form should be read together. Any later variation to scope, price or timing should be recorded and agreed separately.
